Aslan is on the move! New Fire stories from Africa!

Our neighbors live in poverty right next door. No electricity, no running water, no protection from malaria-carrying mosquitoes... they live in a literal mud hut (with dried mud walls). And there are so many we don't know them all. One of them met me as I came out of our rented house, as he happened to walk by. When he saw me, he lit up and said "Habari?" (How are you?). I couldn't quite place him, but we exchanged greetings. He stuttered a bit, and my heart went out to him as he struggled to talk me. But he shone with enthusiasm as he told me how excited he was to have Christ in his life. I thought "This guy has the real thing!"... and I remembered meeting him before somewhere else.

I asked, "When did you come to Christ?" He looked at me a little funny: "When you told me about Him!" Then... it all came back... last year, I think it was, at the "Park Villa Hotel" I met a man who was washing one of the vehicles we use to go to the schools. His name was Collins. We ended up talking... I asked him if he had been born again. He said "No", and we talked at length about the Lord... and he prayed right on the spot to receive Christ. I thought now, a year later, look how he is doing! This is great!

I thought, though Collins "has" nothing, I have not seen a happier man... because he really has everything that matters.

Please pray for this special friend, and others like him, that God will bless them, provide all their family needs, and multiply his joy to others who need the secret of life they have found.
