Who We Are
New Fire for Christ is a 501(c)3 status Non-Profit and was founded in 1997 by Dr. Bob Boyd, Jr. and his wife Mallory to help reach as many people as possible around the world for Christ.
New Fire has reached tens of thousands of students on over 200 university campuses across the U.S. (such as Princeton, University of Virginia, Clemson, University of Chicago, and many others), and hundreds of thousands in evangelistic campaigns in 10 countries (Africa, Asia, and North America).
Our US Leadership
Dr. Bob Boyd Jr. | Founder and President
Son of Bob Boyd, Virginia’s top lawyer (according to many), Bob Jr. was a top student & a state champion wrestler in high school at Norfolk Academy, Bob graduated from the College of William and Mary. As a senior in college, Bob met Christ in a dramatic encounter that transformed his life. Called to the ministry, he interned under Senior Pastor Dick Woodward for 3 years, then he attended Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM) for 4 years (where he met Mallory, his “dream come true”!) and then earned his doctorate in Biblical Preaching at Asbury Seminary. He was pastor of a growing church on the original “Walton’s Mountain” of TV fame. Then Campus Crusade for Christ International invited Bob to join its staff as a National Speaker. After 12 years with Campus Crusade, Bob and his wife Mallory began the Bob Boyd Evangelistic Association (now New Fire for Christ) in 1997. Dr. Boyd and the team now lead large/city-wide and university-wide evangelistic campaigns around the world. Bob has spoken to millions of people in these campaigns and on radio and TV. As a result, 46 churches have been founded, and many tens of thousands of students have become active disciples of Christ. Bob and Mallory live in Norfolk, VA. They have four great sons: Bobby (Camp Director), Benjamin (Pastor), Billy (Radiologist), and Brian (Computer whiz).
Volunteers and part-time staff also help run the U.S. office.
Mallory Boyd | Co-founder and International Speaker
She graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.F.A. and worked as an artist for three years for Athletes in Action. She met Bob, and they married before his last year at Dallas Theological Seminary. Mallory helped Bob to pastor a church on the original “Walton’s Mountain” in Virginia. Bob and Mallory joined Campus Crusade, and Mallory led a discipleship program among seminary wives in Wilmore, KY, while based at Asbury Theological Seminary. Over the years, Mallory has led many Bible studies and spoken to many thousands at family seminars, as well as founding children’s ministries with tens of thousands being discipled in Russia, Africa, India, and Pakistan. She is a gifted speaker and teacher of the Bible (who is able to keep kids’ attention like few on planet Earth!), as well as co-author of The New Life, an evangelistic training tool. She is also certified to teach the "Walk Thru the Bible" lesson series. Today, Mallory is also an award-winning watercolor artist and a devoted wife and mother of 4 boys: Bobby, Benjamin, Billy and Brian.

Our International Team Leaders
Evans, David, Luka, Saimon, Hezroni & Joshua - NFC Directors of Africa - As our team of Directors, they oversee our 300+ African staff in running the School of Discipleship (with over 200,000 students), as well as their other mission trips and outreach programs that are for the people, especially students throughout Kenya, Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania, and other countries.
Noah Jebaraj - NFC Director of India - He oversees the many churches that New Fire has planted there.
Julian - NFC Director of Pakistan - Julian leads worship in many churches as well as day-to-day discipling and traveling to reach the unreached. As a result of our evangelistic campaigns, 20 new churches were started in this heavily Muslim country.
52 Churches (total) founded by NFC in strategic nations around the world and ongoing ministry and Bible teaching to over 200,000+ students in East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi as well as Zanzibar – a 99% Muslim Island) as well as millions through TV and other media.

As mentor and friend Dick Woodward said, "We can't" - we can't reach the world for Christ. But "He can" - God can and will bring men and women to Himself when we pray!
One of our ministry's "life verses" is Jeremiah 33:3:
"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
